How it works
There are many factors that contribute to the spread of dangerous germs, but the main cause is unsatisfactory hand washing procedures and insufficient surface cleaning. In fact, it’s widely recognised that good hand and surface hygiene is the best defence against catching superbugs, viruses and bacteria whilst in hospital.
The concept behind PatientPak is to tackle these germs both in hospital and in the wider community, by allowing people access to information and tools in order to implement effective germ control through a much higher level of hygiene. There are three elements to the complete PatientPak hospital kit:
A range of antimicrobial products that you can use to thoroughly clean and sanitise your hands, surfaces, handles, switches, clothes and bedlinen. Our antimicrobial products all contain patented Clinell formula proven to kill 99.99% of germs. By thoroughly cleaning and sanitising your self and your surroundings with these you can kill germs that may cause illness. Using antimicrobials is important as even when things appear clean, as surfaces may still be contaminated with germs.
A range of disposable essential items that you can use during your hospital stay and then throw away. This minimises the spread of any germs between hospital and home, so there’s much less chance of you bringing anything nasty with you into hospital or out with you when you go home.
A guild to hygiene in hostipal with advice on simple but very effective hygiene procedures. There are many things that most of us don’t even realise that we can do to prevent the spread of germs. Our guide has easy to follow advice to help you take control and protect yourself during your stay. Don’t forget these are instructions that everybody in hospital should follow, not just you, so your visitors should make sure they know all the germ control procedures too.
